New Zero Art Space

New Zero Art Space, the first non-profit gallery, library and art education centre in Yangon, is run by artist Aye Ko. The project promotes contemporary art and artists with the intention of assisting young artists of the next generation. The space has pioneered the first artist-in-residence international exchange programme in Myanmar, involving artists from Asia, Europe and North America, and ensuring transcontinental education and awareness. Selecting a project led by an artist featured in our programme has ensured both a creative and deeply-felt partnership. This collaboration strongly supports our shared passion to develop the contemporary Myanmar art scene. It is significant to note that we witnessed first hand the success of such initiatives.
